Las Plataformas Tecnológicas Españolas de Biomasa para la Bioeconomía (BIOPLAT) y de Química Sostenible (SusChem-España) han elaborado este Manual sobre las Biorrefinerías en España.

Su propósito es aportar conocimiento sobre este prometedor sector bioindustrial e identificar las ventajas estratégicas que supondría aprovechar esta oportunidad en España, al igual que ya se está haciendo en otros Estados miembros de la UE. Dado que, tal y como se demuestra a lo largo del Manual, el país cuenta con los recursos y está especialmente bien posicionado para hacerlo con éxito.

The scope of this study is to analyse how the chemical industry could use breakthrough technologies to further reduce CO2 emissions resulting from the production of its key building blocks.

The purpose of this study is to provide quantitative data on promising low carbon technologies, estimate their potential impact on CO2 emission reductions, and highlight the current technological and financial limitations and barriers.

Estas Plataformas son PLANETA, SusChem-España, Food for Life-Spain, PTEA, PLATEA y MANU-KET, las cuales constituyen el Grupo Promotor.

Este Grupo Interplataformas está dirigido a explotar el potencial de la innovación para promover la aplicación del concepto de economía circular en distintos sectores productivos estratégicos, contribuyendo así mismo a la implementación de las estrategias nacionales y europeas en este ámbito.

The SusChem Board has established light-weight materials and composites materials among its priorities. The SusChem Materials Working group has defined the main technical challenges spelled-out in the SusChem SIRA.

The SusChem Working Group on Composites Materials for Automotive pulled together experts from the chemical industry, the automotive industry, the automotive parts suppliers as well as academia and recommended the publication of this position paper as well as a wider consultation with the established competence centres in Europe.

SusChem - Strategic Innovation & Research Agenda

Ten years ago SusChem published its first Strategic Research Agenda (SRA) prior to the European Commission’s Seventh Research Framework Programme (FP7). Many of the SRA’s priorities were successfully incorporated into FP7 calls, especially in the areas of Knowledge Based Bioeconomy (KBBE) and Nanosciences, Nanotechnologies, Materials and new Production Technologies (NMP). With the Horizon 2020 programme now underway it is time to update SusChem’s priorities in line with the increased emphasis on innovation and societal challenges at the heart of Horizon 2020.
